Gerry Berthiume New Britain Bees GM visiting Kensington-Berlin Rotary Club on May 10
Gerry Berthiume, New Britain Bees General Manager, will be the guest speaker for the Kensington-Berlin Rotary Club  on May 10 at 6pm at the Pine Loft Cafe, 1474 Berlin Turnpike, Berlin. Gerry, a long time Rotarian and Berlin resident, will be promoting Rotary District 7890  End Polio Now Night at the New Britain Bees baseball game on May 13.  Tickets are $22 per person which includes an All You Can Eat Barbecue Picnic and a reserved ticket. There will be a pregame parade and fireworks at the end of the game.  $4 of every ticket sold will benefit End Polio Now. In addition, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will double match the $4 donation for a total of $12 for End Polio Now.  Rotarians have been instrumental in eradicating Polio worldwide. First Official Meeting at Tavern on the Trax
The Kensington-Berlin Rotary Club kicked off the New Year by changing its meeting time and place.  No longer a Sunrise Club, they will now be meeting the 2nd &4th Wednesdays at Tavern on the Trax in Berlinat 5:30pm!  DG Frank Wargo along with Assistant DG Judith Green, members of the Berlin High Interact Club who were guest speakers along with Chris Knoblock, Director of Marketing for the New Britain Bees and members of the club celebrated together for their first meeting on January 11, 2017. 
Out of the Cold Luncheon for Salvation Army onSuper Bowl Sunday
The Kensington-Berlin Rotary Club along with the Berlin High Interact Club served Chili, Wings Salad and Dessert for 50 people at New Britain Salvation Army "Out of the Cold Luncheon at 78 Franklin Square on Super Bowl Sunday.  The wings and chili were a big hit! Thank you Ferndale Market Fresh of Berlin for donating the wings and all the volunteers who helped prepare and serve the food!
New Members inducted
Judith Green, Assistant DG recently installed new members of the Kensington-Berlin Rotary Club.  The new members are Dick Fracasso, Gillian Baker, Shreeja  Joshi and Helen Malinka.  Also picturered are Treasurer, John Roman, Secretary, Marie Bogdanksi and President, Elaine Pavasaris
